Zone, 2016 – additional information:

Each photograph from the series „Zone“ consists of two identical pictures. Photos haven’t been manipulated (with the only exception of horizontal flipping), but composed directly in the viewfinder of camera on place in forests.

It took a lot of concentration, imagination and careful controlling of the direction of the sunlight (always make the scene look real … man’s brain recognizes if the light does not fit there).

Like most of my work, large print format is crucial. In this case is even mostly important. Large print format reveals a third dimension of scenes and also shows in detail dozens of different creatures and demons watching directly to yours eyes. So you stand there on places where something is really weird and you are scared.

Zóna, 2016 – dodatečné informace:

Jednotlivé fotografie ze souboru „Zóna“ tvoří dvě tytéž fotografie. Fotografie nejsou manipulovány a obrazy jsou v hledáčku komponovány přímo v terénu. Vyžadovalo to velké soustředění, představivost a pečlivé hlídání směru slunečního světla (aby scéna vždy vypadala reálně… on to mozek pozná, pokud tam světlo nesedí).

Stejně jako u většiny mých prací je zde zásadní velký tiskový formát. U tohoto souboru je to vlastně nejzásadnější. Ve velkém formátu vyleze třetí rozměr scény a v detailech na diváka koukají desítky očí různých kreatur a démonů. Stojíte tak na místě, kde se něco divného děje a máte z toho strach.
